Hello all, the great day has arrived, im proud to present you all... the biggest mod in crashday... the prettyest one... that mod which everybody wants... that for what you have waited for months and months... I´m proud of present you the... CRASHDAY´S DESERT MOD!!!


The most wanted mod for crashday became reality, after months of work her eyou have this biig file! in this rar you will get the bigger visual mod even created for crashday, it will add more thatn 1000 new files to your crashday folder!

Download link HERE and in first post of this topic.

We will also release a important addon with some new tiles and a sand enviroment for your tracks, i tested the mod 3 times in a clean copy of crashday and worked without problems, there is a read me which will help you with the installation, and please, if you descover any bug/error/ugly thing in the mod, tell us it (ben or me).

error message, but dont mind to do creenshot, and now i unistall this crashday, so cant show u it... But this message was strange, first time see that msg, this was have that character : □ . in sec ,line i think, dont remember what file was bugged :(

Ok i see that you are having problems with this, i will explain your error, this game has a limit for tiles and this mod is really big, if you have more mods (tile mods) then u may have problemds, thats why you should make a backup of your fields.cat (i wrotte it in readme) and if the game crashes overwite the new fields.cat by your old one, sry by the bug i will try to fix it for 1.1 version, maybe delete some tiles like buildings and that.


€d!t: Everybody please vote two categories which will be deleted for next verion of the mod, by categories i say about track editor, you know, race, dirt road, stunt, decoration...

thats strange :/ you are the unic person who has problems with the mod :(

I found out some bugs which will be fixed for 1.1 version of the mod:

-palm tree works wrong in custom terrains

-there are 2 pieces which has NOT been converted to desert

-i will also change one of the categories, in industrial i will change the name by "misc" and include here industrial walls and add the palm tree and the field file (simple sand without any building) also some more tiles which i have not still determinated.

Thanks for your opinions, people tells me that they love the mod and its nice to hear that, please continue telling me about new bugs/errors taht u find ;)


-Edit: If you already have any tiles mod in your game you will have to remove it before install desert mod or simply install desert mod in another game copy, because the desert mod is too big and the game cant stand so much tiles at same time.

1) I have porblems, too d_house2.cfl and d_house4.cfl are missing...
2) I can't make a new copy of Crashday, i don't know why, but whenever I try to sart the new CD, old CD starts...

I haven't played yet, but I would say dirt road should be deleted, because dirtroads in desert...?

I agree with D-D, if there will be two catergories deleted, take the dirtroad (looks ugly), and the forest (looks silly) :wink:

here my list of bugs I found:

- Palmtree on terrain-bug. (probably also with the new house.)
- Destroyed wide tunnel entry is above ground.
- Many buildings aren't converted to desert.
- Wooden fences aren't converted to desert.
- T-intersection of dirtroad isn't converted to desert.
(but is included in mod!)
- There is still some grass at one of the countryroad turns.
- AI/Bots dont understand how to drive at desert tiles.

:o huh?! My AI avoids to drive on the desert on ds) amateurs5 and on ds) finals5 they just dont move! :|
oh and I forgot the mention that the flag doesn't spawn on the desert tiles, I hope that will be fixed :)

Didn´t know nothing about that problem with flag, i will check myself, if u are right then we have to mod over 300 files :(

about the piramid, it comes with janes mod so i didnt include it, I just went to track editor and saw it in user3, when i selected it my game got freezed, i will look for the problem but for the moment i think its a problem with a missing file, surely a texture, I will give you more information when i have it ;)

I was thinking of an open space in the cliff a long time ago when I saw Pitbull's topic! :P

A piece like in this image, you can hide in it or whatever, but that idea is really old!
